My partner and I are in the market for a bus(have one in mind) and I'm curious to see what people have done to the insides of their buses. Any pictures are welcome.. I'd love to get some ideas for this, as I am new to buses as a home...

Re: Websites with modified bus interiors?
Fri, March 10, 2006 - 2:53 PMHey Lyra,
There is a awesome book called "Some Turtles Have Nice Shells by Roger Beck" . It has some great pictures of the inside of Buses & House trucks. Run down to Powells quick! They have a copy or 2 left. You can also go to his website at www.housetrucks.com . Also if that bus you have in mind doesn't pan out check out www.triggbussales.com right here in our beautiful Portland backyard.
Goodluck!

Fri, March 10, 2006 - 11:46 PMThanks, Gypsy!
I wish I could go to Powell's... *sigh* I miss the smell of that place. I'm in Eugene now, probably soon to be Vancouver(BC), but I make trips to see my mom in Camas every few weeks. Maybe I'll stop by Powell's on my next trip. :)
Blessings,

Sun, March 12, 2006 - 9:50 AMOr you could check out:
www.skoolie.net/gallery
Lots of pix of ppl with finish and not so finished insides. Nice bunch of folks there too with lots of helpful advice.
I'd say go for it! I purchased my first bus last year and though its still in construction mode, I wouldn't have purchased a regular RV for nothing. It gonna rock once finished! -

Re: Websites with modified bus interiors?
Sat, March 11, 2006 - 5:55 AMHi Lyra
Just a couple of things that may help you out here. First off Roger Beck is a really great guy and is in Eugene and if you fire him over an email im sure he would be happy to sell you a signed copy of his book ( maybe the best one out there ) and you may even get the grand tour of his old housetruck that's out back of his cabinet shop. Rogers site is www.housetrucks.com and there is another great site at www.mrsharkey.com and also go to yahoo.com and do a group search for skoolie converison groups, theres a bunch. I've lived in my school bus/home for almost 4 years now and love it. I have a ton os solar electric on it. I just bought a 40 foot GMC Buffilo bus to convert to my next home. I can't wait to get started on it. Good luck with the new rig.
Peace along the way
