Hello fellow bus enthusiast's, my name is Eric and I'm new to the game. I've got a bus, a dream, and friends willing to help. My only question, for now, and this will probably be very obvious to most of you, is this: "How tall can I build/pack my bus and still make it down the highway?" Do I need to carefully plan my route or is it as easy as taking every exit in order to avoid overpasses?
I'll take pictures of my project and post them over the weekend.
Thanks in advance,
Eric

Re: Height issues
Tue, July 4, 2006 - 9:51 AMit depends...are you primarily talking highways or back roads? on highways you are clear as long as you are no taller than a tractor trailer--14 ft i think, but that will make driving in towns more difficult--many overpasses and bridges are much lower--9-12 ft. our bus is 12.5 ft and we can go almost anywhere with a little advanced planning and it helps to know our routes in advance around town.
good luck!!
